There is an in-car view so nothing to worry about there.
Yes it adds so much, particularly to the in-car/cockpit view.
Sure, just in response to the messages above, the tracks do look and feel better while the triggers really give a much more tactile feel to car feedback and surface textures but as mentioned in the video the visual downgrade since E3 just takes that polish off. It does look better but not so much better as blow anyone away with a next gen wow factor, for a comparison check out this video I made of of Forza 4 a couple of years back.
I'm barely in the videos these days and my presence in the corner was by request of regular viewers. Some people prefer it when we're not always hidden behind the screen.
It is not completely normal in a game merely a month from launch and given the comparison with titles such as F1 2011 (which also suffered from poor frame rate on the PS3) there is reason to note this in its current condition. It is noted in the video that this is preview code and not representative of the final product but the poor frame rate should not be overlooked.

The co-driver wasn't working on this set-up for some reason, alas making it harder for me to run really high speed times. Well no the Monaco as we know it is in the game, outside of the F1 track it's a very small place, the rally takes place in the surrounding mountains.

I don't go round telling people its awesome, would I buy it? Yes. Has it come a long way from the early builds, yes.
No I'm not impressed with the sterile feel of Gran Turismo, its dull and doesn't recreate the feeling of intensity of real motorsport.
If people are happy to stick with Driveclub for a couple of years then all good, however if this game doesn't work out commercially, we'll continue to see sims only on the PC in the future ....
